A Cloud Virtual Desktop is a personal, centralized computer located in the Cloud. I have been looking for a way to watch my large collection of .avi DivX files on my iPad and iPhone. This app, Air Video will not only allow you to stream all you videos wireless, but will also convert them into the proper iFormat for you, instantly, on the fly. This app is .99 at the iTunes app store and there is a free Demo. You will need to install the free client software on your computer, you can download that from here: airvideoapp.com I also needed to install Apple Boujour software to make this app work. Not sure what that is, some kind of printing service, but it is free too. I haven’t tried this, but you can use this app over the internet, including 3G. However your router must support UPnP or NAT-PMP protocols so Air Video can setup the port fowarding, or you will need to configure the port forwarding manually. This demo was just over my local home wifi network, which is very simple.
